How Super Affiliates Make Money Online

affiliate-earning

I am going to analyze part of the March 2015 earnings report for super affiliate named Pat Flynn.

I think it can give us all great insights on how to top affiliate marketers earn their affiliate revenue online and the techniques they use.

He made a gross of $153,397 so this huge number sure came from multiple sources, so let’s get started.

Product Creation

Being an affiliate does not stop you from owning your own product, which can be an ebook.

What Pat did was create an e-book for this super mini niche “leed exam” and created a non-blog site, just a normal website that have many resources on the topic while promoting his ebook on the website through banners.

The website is Greenexamacademy.com

This technique made him $2,617 in 1 month

Job Boards Earnings

Here is also picked a small niche “security guards”, then created a normal website with regular home page and about us page, then he added the following sections:

  • Search Page
  • Directory
  • Blog

Search Page: That’s how he makes his affiliate income, he was aware of an affiliate program that pays per search (at indeed.com), whenever someone will do a job search then Pat gets paid an affiliate commission.

He integrated their script in his Search Page and he made $93.13 in 1 month, this shows you why Pat decided to enter the “security guards” niche in the first place, as it is the perfect place for jobs search affiliate programs like indeed.com

Directory: In an effort to make his website complete and develop trust with his website visitors, Path created a directory for security guards schools; this just adds another type of content and visitors engagement on his website

Blog: Having content on your website via blogging has its endless benefits as they give you the option to have content ads & banner ads…etc while helping you to establish your authority in the niche and therefore gaining trust that can lead to affiliate sales.

Another thing Pat did was add Google’s Adsense ad across all pages of his website which generated him ads revenue of $3,162 in 1 month

He also added an opt-in form also across all pages which helps him to capture visitors emails and sell them affiliate offers and that made him affiliates earnings of $122.94

The website is Securityguardtraininghq.com

This technique made him $3,379 in 1 month

Taking an Offline Niche…Online!

In this technique Pat found an offline niche “food truck business” which is about people who sell food on the street on a truck. Now there are 5 obvious reasons he might have selected this mini niche:

  • Target audience is willing to invest over $100
  • They are very hungry for information as they are business men/women
  • Highly motivated to take actions
  • Low SEO competition (tons of easy traffic)
  • Target audience have multiple product (meaning can sell them multiple solutions/products)

Using the above 5 reasons he structured his website accordingly.

The main profit source he used was created a product to help food truck business, which is a series of ebooks and guides packages. Selling them for price ranging from $47 to $197

He made monthly profits of $1,511 from this product sales.

He also made sure that the buy now page does not have any links to the other parts of his website (blog…etc). That’s because at this point he doesn’t want them to be saying “Oh, I can read his blog and I don’t need to buy his book”. He needs them to think the only valuable source of information at this point is in his product.

In order for him to sell his packages, his visitors need to make sure he knows what he is talking about, that’s why he added a blog section to fill it with content that builds trust.

And he also added a podcast section, which is a collection of online podcasts on food truck business. This gives his website visitors a new type of content to enjoy and makes them feel they are getting more information on the food truck business then they hoped from 1 website.

Another source of income he used is to get affiliate commission from multiple products, giving how food truck business seekers will pretty much have no online presence (website) and no internet marketing framework (lists). He decided to seize this opportunity to help food truckers establish their online presence to promote their business.

He created a resource page on his website, it lists all online services food trucker business will need to establish their online presence from web hosting to create a website to auto responders services to capture subscribers. While linking to those services with his affiliate link to earn affiliate commissions.

And finally he adds Google Adsense ads on his blog for that extra cash, along with adding an opt-in form to capture his website visitors emails for later promotions.

The website is Foodtruckr.com

This technique made him $1,614 in 1 month

I Am No Programmer but I Sell Scripts

The freelancing world has opened another door of revenue stream to even affiliate marketers.

The idea here was simple; find something simple most of business websites need. Pat here found that all local businesses need to add a map on their website.

He then went to a freelancing website and hired a programmer to create a script that generates a clickable map. A simple script that I am sure didn’t cost him more than $150 but has high demand.

He then creates a website to offer a free version of the script where people can generate clickable maps online and have an option to upgrade to the paid version.

A very tiny niche and not saturated with competition added another income stream for him.

The website is createaclickablemap.com

This technique made him $649.35 in 1 month

What we learned

There is an obvious pattern in these technique, find mini niche with low competition and design your website to suite how you plan to profit (your revenue sources).

It also shows us that affiliate marketing has a room for innovation, and can be done in various ways.

You will probably need an affiliate marketing training that can give you a head start if you are a beginner affiliate and want to get on your way to become a super affiliate with 5 figure income.

Are you a Buyer or a Seller?

The title says it all…

Are you a buyer or a seller?

If you are an Internet Marketer or run your business online, this is probably a question that truly matters.  If you are like most people in the Online Marketing niche, you are probably tempted to buy product after product, or join various membership sites on a daily basis.  The products you buy may or may not even be relevant to what you are doing.  Most of the time they are a waste of money and well, time.

Buying is fun, but that also means you are not generating the income that you are looking to make. And truth be told,  you are moving farther away from hitting your income goal.

So the next time you are tempted to buy, think twice…

Instead, read the offers carefully and study why you feel like buying…

Is the product you are looking at relevant to you and your business?

And most importantly, why does it make you tick?  (If it gives you the feeling of urgency to buy, other people are likely to feel the same way).  And that is a good thing from a marketing stand point.

Well crafted sales letters are tailored for conversions.

It is is what we call the irresistible offer. People hate missing on deals, it is as simple as that. So if you reverse engineer this part,  you will have your own sales letter and funnel that convert.

Here are the top three questions that matter in your business, and these are the questions that will help you become a better seller:

  • HOW can you bring more leads to your funnel?
  • HOW can you turn your leads to customers?
  • HOW to automate the entire process as much as possible?

There is a major shift when you start thinking from a selling perspective. You will no longer be in the “buying mode”. You shape the way you think to become a better seller and marketer in this process.

My suggestion, focus your time entirely on how to be a better seller (ask yourself the three questions above daily). Don’t waste your time buying on the next information product or activities that don’t produce results.

The money and the income you desire will come to you when your mind is focused on becoming a better marketer. This is in fact the only one thing that will produce results.

The next time before you buy, ask yourself ” are you a buyer or a seller ?”

The Shocking Society Lies

First, let me ask you.

Have you ever felt like either society and family expectations led you down the wrong path?

Maybe you’ve heard it all along, like an old broken record in fact.

You must do well in school and go to college.

Then get a good job.

Once you graduate, you work like everyone else.

Then your family expect you to get married and have kids.

And pretty much you spend the rest of your life working for someone else like majority of people on this planet.

These so called “truth” is nothing more than ‘society made up lies‘ that lock you up and prevent you from breathing freely. You’ll never achieve full freedom until you unlock the truth.

lie

I read a recent article posted on the Entrepreneur’s website, an interview with Barbara Corcoran. You can read the full article here.

I fully resonated with what Barbara said. I went through a hell lot of challenges when I was a young kid.  I was emotionally tortured because of this so called ‘society and family expectation‘. Now that I’m a mother and a full time entrepreneur, I can relate to everything Barbara mentioned.

I still vividly remember my first day in kindergarten. I hated it. My Mom even told me that I cried for a full year!

For the longest time I didn’t want to admit how much I hated school. After all it was and has always been the trend, kids go to school while parents go to work. I just went along with it. While I never had to stay put, I often had Cs and Ds all the way until I was in the 6th grade.

Every year the school teacher would have one on one meeting with parents discussing the students’ progress. I overheard my teacher’s conversation with my parents. She said “I’m afraid that if your daughter doesn’t improve, she won’t be accepted in the middle school you’re looking at. She’s just not good enough“. I felt like struck by lightning at the time.

On the way home, my parents were eerily quiet. I knew I was in trouble. Needless to say my Dad heavily lectured me at home saying how disappointed and embarrassed he was at me.  He compared me to my cousins and his friends’ children whom he thought were so much brighter than me. At the time, it was hurtful. I was torn apart being compared to other kids. His words humiliated me.

He then decided to send me abroad to study instead.

Maybe it was the right thing for him to do. I just know that I started doing better in the 7th grade all the way to college because my mind was conditioned that if I didn’t start doing better, I would be a failure and disgrace for the rest of my life.

Even after I graduated from college, one of my old high school acquaintance made a comment “I got straight 4.0 and suma cum laude”. My response was “well congratulations, I’m happy for you”. I really did, but I knew she was looking to “fish” how I did in college. I’ll tell you, I graduated with a 3.5 GPA. (You may think that there are others who have worse GPA than I did, but that’s not the whole point here – so keep reading…;))

Could I done better? Maybe – I knew I studied hard so I wouldn’t be a disgrace to my Dad. And nothing more painful than being humiliated by your own family. And that was the kind of “pain” that motivated me to study better. But at the same time I knew I wasn’t studying hard enough to my fullest potential.

Did I want to study better? That’s another question that even I still can’t answer to this date. But here’s what I can tell you. Part of me wanted to prove that I could do better, and I did. But part of me rebelled and debated that I could still get a good job if I wanted to even with non 4.0 GPA.

For one, I proved to myself that not being the smartest or having a 4.0 could still get a great position with a high paying salary. Before I left my job I was already earning a six figure income.

But here’s the main reason why I resonated with Barbara Corcoran’s interview…

Society and family expectations can hurt in the end.

I was embarrassed by my not so good grades. By the fact that I was barely making it through the sixth grade. I was the laughing stock of my entire classroom until then.

I’ve long part ways with the “old me”.

I’m no longer ashamed in my past because without that experience, I won’t be strong as today.

I don’t question my Dad’s decisions and how he lectured me in the past. He’s my loving Dad and he had his own reasons to scold and humiliated beforet. I love him no matter what.

I want to tell you today, that no matter how hard, bitter your past was – your past isn’t equal to your future.

It’s not fully your fault if you’re not financially free.  It’s all these shocking society lies that keeps you in the dark, and keep you thinking that you’re not good enough to pursue your dreams.

You have all the power in yourself to fix your life for the better.

I’m not better than you. You may even be smarter than me.

You can achieve your fullest potential if you kill your self limiting belief.

Everything is truly dependent on HOW BAD you want to SUCCEED at something.

This so called “the way” shaped by society and some family has left many people cold and drown in debts. Think about it, most college graduates and even more so Master and PhD graduates have huge debts when they’re done with their studies. How long do you think it’ll take them to pay off their loans?

Exactly.

Now, even if you have massive amounts of debts, you can choose to turn your life around by making a decision to make it better.

I divorced my job and achieved my own freedom by making a choice to start my own entrepreneurial journey.

I started a beautiful chapter in my life through this very thing called the Internet Marketing industry.

If you’ve been following me for a while, I’m not the girl who sells you hypes and false promises to overnight riches. Because guess what? When you make a decision to start a business, the start is the hardest. You have to work harder than at a job often times. You have to sacrifice your “me time” (this includes TV, playing games, having fun with your friends, etc)

I can tell you that in the end, the rewards can set you FREE.

The end reward FAR OUTWEIGH the pain at the beginning.

Imagine working from home while spending as much time as you want with your loved ones.

Imagine giving yourself big raises because you work for yourself. You don’t need anyone’s permissions for a raise.

This “entrepreneurial path” is only for people who truly want to create a better life, a better future that can impact others along the way.

This “entrepreneurial path” has given me the absolute freedom to be with my family and loved ones at will. Nothing in the world can trade the time I spend with my child.

This path has been FAR from easy. But it’s been a sweet rewarding journey.

I can tell you it’s NOT for you if you’re not willing to work, aren’t willing to learn, or just getting into this industry with a “lottery mentality” and lazy.

I’m here to inspire you that, you too can inspire someone through your very own story.

Start your own entrepreneurial journey today.

Not tomorrow or not when you feel like it.

5 Things That Guarantee You To Be Successful Online

guaranteed-success

I want to break down the five things you need to focus on if you want to make money online month after month, year after year, for the rest of your life.

Here they are:

1) Build your list.
2) Identify who your audience are. Research their problems and come out with the solution (i.e. you and products you promote).
3) Learn copywriting.
4) Do videos.
5) Network with other successful people.

I’m going to break these down for you.

I’ll start with #1 – List building. This is your only asset in your online business. This is the only thing that you can take with you anywhere you go (even if you jump into another biz op).  SEO changes all the time and you must follow the white hat rules to stay in Google’s game. Social media constantly change too. Take Facebook for example, just within the past 10 months alone, they’ve changed the algorithm on fan pages, and just in the recent weeks, they changed the algorithm on personal profiles. Many social media marketers were affected by this. This is why the only thing that matter is your list (email & SMS).  You have full control on your list.

As a side note, you can’t be cheap when it comes to auto responder. If you go with a cheap unreliable service, you’re going to kick yourself when something happens.

#2 – Identify your core audience. I got this wrong when I first started.  You can’t market to everyone. For example, if you’re in the body building niche, you can’t market to people in the golf niche. You just don’t speak the golfer’s language. Does that make sense?  Once you figure your target audience, tailor your content to fit your target market. Come up with a solution for them, because it’s all about giving your market what they want.

#3 – Learn copywriting. One of my mentors actually told me the importance of copywriting. It’s one of those things that most marketers don’t care about. Let me ask you. If you’re an online marketer, what industry are you in exactly? 😉 Wouldn’t it make sense to learn how to write properly so that you can easily convince your prospects to work with you? Everything is associated with copywriting; From sales funnels, sales pages, online ads, to your daily email newsletters.  You won’t become a good writer overnight, but I can promise you this is the one skill that you can take anywhere, and make you money. There are full time copywriters, and great copy writers can charge anywhere between $10k to $25k per one writing gig.

English is my third language, and I hated writing throughout high school and college.  You may even write better than me and notice all my grammar mistakes. 😉 It didn’t stop me from writing.

#4 – Do Videos. Many people avoid doing videos. They don’t want to be anywhere near the cameras. They simply hate seeing themselves on videos. I didn’t like being on videos before , I’m not going to say that I love being on videos now either. I challenged myself because I wanted to stretch outside of my comfort zone. Was it easy? Heck no lol. I deleted my videos over and over again until I ‘semi approved’ myself.

Let me just tell you this, videos convert very well and they’re free. No matter what your niche is, your audience is already hanging out on video websites like YouTube, Vimeo, etc. You don’t always have to show your face, but you must be willing to do videos if you want to be so much more ahead than your competitors. I’ve done videos in different niches and here’s the best part. They convert to free super targeted traffic. I lost counts how many times I’ve gotten buyers from videos that I put up 2+ years or so ago, and these leads turned buyers without me having to talk to them. This is true passive income.

#5 – Networking with other successful people.  You’ll learn a lot from these people. Go to an event, work with a mentor, connect with other business owners or people in the same industry as yours. Surround yourself with positive people who’ll lift you up and see the potential in you. Entrepreneurs tend to be lonely while walking on this path to freedom, unless your family are entrepreneurs too, no one will understand what you go through. Again this is why it’s important to surround yourself with successful people, you’ll learn from them and you will want to follow their footsteps.

So there you have all the 5 important factors you absolutely must have if you want to make money online forever. This is about building a real business and what it takes to be successful.

Will this guarantee your success though? I can’t guarantee anything, because I don’t know what you’ll do with everything I’ve mentioned. You can run with it or do nothing with it. The only person who can guarantee your success is you.

Your Grass Is Greener Than Mine!

Most marketers today , especially newbies are often distracted with the new product or new biz op that comes into the market. There are many new info products, tools, programs, biz ops, that are released into the marketplace everyday. They buy into the hypes each day.

I wish to educate more newbies to become an intermediate and expert, hence I give away my 10 days bootcamp. I realized that many marketers out there only teach others based on theories. I’ve been personally coached by real mentors who’re well known in this industry. Combined that with my personal experience and expertise, I know if people apply just half of the information in the bootcamp … they’ll get result. The vast information I give away in the bootcamp along with the full Facebook group support are what many so and so marketers would charge monthly for.

Some of the things you can expect to learn in the bootcamp… I’m an expert at driving traffic, and keeping my subscribers happy. So I teach both free and paid ads in my bootcamp. I teach how to set up a blog from start to finish,  how to make and rank youtube videos,  how to unleash the power of SMS and Email marketing combination…and so much more. However, there’s only so much I can do if you’re not even applying what I’ve given to you freely.

I’m tired of seeing people coming to me who said they’re not getting results from being in xyz company and blaming their sponsors , then asking for my help. For most marketers, they’d be happy to take these guys in to be sponsored for their business. I’m the opposite. Let me explain why. I don’t want to work with whiners. I know that if they complain about their sponsor in another company, they’ll find a way to complain in a new company or biz op.

If you’re not taking responsibility of your own action, and take the time to truly learn the industry and learn how to be an ethical and good marketer – you won’t succeed online. Nothing will change until you make a decision to be focused and commit to making a positive change in your life.

If you just apply what I teach you in the bootcamp, I know you’ll start making your first dollar within the next 90 – 180 days through your very own online business.

Just recently I gave away a special report to help several subscribers. Here’s the thing, these people I’ve given my report away to were true go getters.  They really proved themselves to me in their applications and how they interacted with me. I’m happy to help people like them.

Set up a goal and work towards that goal. Make a goal so big that people think you’re crazy. Stop looking at what everyone is doing in your Facebook or social media accounts. The grass always looks greener on the other side, but the truth is that the grass is green where you water it most. Be consistent with your effort in one primary business. Multiple streams of income don’t exist for newbies, sorry!

Don’t be lured into jumping from one thing to another. If you believe in what you’re promoting, stick with it. I really mean stick with one thing as your primary business, and promote another thing as a funded proposal (which I thoroughly explain in my bootcamp).

You’re meant to do great things. Everything starts with you making that one decision that’ll make a positive impact for you and your loved ones.
