How To Get Leads and Traffic Tips

If you’re like most people in this industry, you spend a lot of time making plans or waiting for the “next big thing” (you end up procrastinating!).  I always say that making money online is simple but it’s not easy. Once you know what kind of business you’re pursuing, then comes the not so easy part…When it comes to making money online – you need constant traffic and leads for your business.
So here’s your how to get leads and traffic tips.
Tip 1: You need a highly converting landing page. This is where people opt in and place their email address in exchange for more information. This is the first step to getting leads for your business, getting people to view what you have to offer.  The message you put in front of the landing page has to be consistent with the message you’re about to give to your leads. Let me illustrate this, say you have a store named “Fresh fruit juices”, people relate to the store with all things “fruit juices”. You don’t want to sell “flowers” inside your store because that’s not what people come to the store for. This is why you need to be consistent with your message.
There’s an art to creating highly converting landing pages. You want to put yourself in your leads’ shoes. What kind of information are they possibly looking for?  For example, the Internet Marketing industry is attracting people from all over the world who’re looking to make money online or improve their financial situation. Your job is to provide a solution to their problem.
Tip 2:  Once you have your landing pages set up, you need to start delivering traffic. You simply send people to your landing page for them to decide if they wanted to pursue an opportunity and place their information with you. Pick two traffic methods to master. There are many of them. But just pick two methods to begin with until you become very good at it. PPC, SEO, Content Marketing, Videos, safe lists, solos, traffic exchange, media buys, etc.
Tip 3: Rinse and repeat. Remember I mentioned that in the tasks involved in Internet Marketing can be pretty boring, but always stick with the big picture to get the results you want.
These things don’t take a lot of time or set up once you know exactly what to do. You also need to stay on top of the game with changes in the industry and be ready to make necessary adjustments to your business. The most important thing is just to take action. Believe in yourself and your abilities, and start learning along the way because you are the one to make things happen.  Experience is your best teacher.

  1. I have to say that I’m becoming a believer about the potential of Facebook PPC ads. Facebook recently sent me a coupon to try their ads which focus on getting the viewer to perform an “action,” and I’ve been using the coupon to get more likes for my Facebook page. I’m seeing more page likes as well as more views on the content I’m posting on Facebook.

    I’d be curious to know more about your ideas for driving traffic using craigslist ads. I’ve experimented a bit with craigslist, but I don’t feel like I’m doing as much with it as I could be.

    • Mandy, Craigslist can bring you plenty of leads if done correctly. The ‘services’ section and ‘jobs’ section are the best categories to post. The “wanted” section can be a goldmine too, people constantly looking for something and you can step in and offer them business opportunities or services.
