Today is Black Friday, you know the biggest shopping day of the year in the U.S.  I noticed many Internet Marketers are asking people to buy things left and right, taking advantage of Black Friday. But before you buy anything, please make sure you’re buying products that you will actually use. Products that can help you streamline your business or truly help you make money. Don’t get me wrong, there are exceptionally helpful tools that can help you streamline your business processes.

I’m going to give you some tips on how you can create a real minimum five figure income online.

You know, in today’s economy, more and more people are looking to the Internet to supplement their income, or looking to make all their money online after they lost their j.o.b (what one of my mentors defined as “just over broke”). Don’t depend on your job to make ends meet. You have the power to be in control of your financial health. In fact, there are more and more successful online entrepreneurs today than a few years ago. Starting online now has never been easier.

So how to make money online? 

Internet marketing is simple – but it’s not easy. The day to day tasks can be pretty boring and tedious. But it works. You also need to be consistent and repeat the same things over and over again. TOO many people quit before they even start to see the fruits of their labor.

The very first thing you need to do is create your own brand. Whether you want to brand yourself with your name, or a unique company name, you have to build around it.

Now here are some tips…

Tip #1. Your number 1 goal when making a first impression to your Internet Marketing Audience is to bring value. You don’t have to be an expert or guru, but you want to serve. Serve others is how you’re going to get much more in return. Why’s that? It’s simple, because people do business with others that they know and trust. It is important to connect with your audience, whether it’s through newsletters, social media, videos, or even webinars. People can relate to you this way. You want to target your market and help them solve problems. Be yourself, engage and talk to people like they’re your friends. Building a list is your main priority if you’re in the Internet Marketing industry. When people email you back, you should read and respond to help them, give them feedback and connect with them.

Tip #2. Whatever business you’re involved in, this business is all about traffic and leads. You can get 30-50 leads each day just by doing some simple tasks that goes viral on Facebook and Pinterest. Blogs and videos are going to give you traffic for life. The more content you put on your blog the more traffic you’re going to get and the more leads you’ll get.

Tip #3. If you don’t have a lot of budget to do paid advertising, there are many advertising methods that are free and can bring results. These involve Facebook sharing, posting on Craigslist, and many other free advertising websites. Posting on classifieds daily can bring tons of leads.

Tip #4. If you’re doing paid advertising, be careful on the network and solo vendors you’re buying advertising from. This is why networking with the right people can help you. You can expect to pay $100 – $500 per basic solo ads campaign, depending on the quality and who you buy it from. Many people start small and gradually put more advertising budget. Every big names and gurus started small. PPC advertising works and Facebook PPC, if done correctly, can bring you results.

Tip #5. As your business grows, look into automating your processes and outsource more mundane tasks to your virtual assistant or hire freelancers who can do tasks you can’t do (for example. if you’re not good at graphics then hire a graphic designer to help you accomplish what you need to do). If you’re in a good team and have a helpful leader, they should be able to provide you the resources and tools you can use.

Tip #6. People ask me this question a lot: “Val, how do you determine a good business opportunity?” So here’s my answer…EVERY single business opportunity have people who talk it up and others who put it down. Look at the products, do your own research and come to your own conclusion. Go with your guts. You also need to choose your sponsor carefully. When you sign up under the right team and sponsor, you are saving yourself a lot of headaches. The right sponsor also can assist you when it comes to paid advertising. Paid advertising works well, but if you go buy in blindly you are going to lose a lot of money. The right team and leader will help you identify what works, which in turns save yourself money that you would otherwise wasted.
