My First Week In 2014

I hope you had a good start into the New Year. My first week in 2014…has been interestingly bad and good.

I got into accident on Thursday, just two days into the New year.
I was preparing dinner when my husband called and said he couldn’t get his car to start on the way home. He asked me to pick him up so he can jumpstart his car with our other car. He successfully jumpstarted his car, but I did not have a good feeling about his car, so my husband and I switched cars. He drove the other car with our daughter in it.
I drove slowly as it rained, but right at the stoplight, I couldn’t stop the car! The break just was not working! I panicked. I hit the car in front of me. :(
Fortunately, there wasn’t any major damage to either car, just minor scratches. Unbelievable! It could of been a lot worse. Thankfully neither I nor the other lady got hurt either.
The brake “miraculously” started working right after the accident. But nonetheless, we are taking the car for a service this weekend. I honestly don’t know what to think about what happened with the brake. From the accident standpoint, I was clearly at fault even though there was an obvious issue with the brake. But the lady was very friendly even though her car was hit. She asked me if I was okay and handed another umbrella to me. She was very understanding about the whole situation and we parted ways after exchanging personal information.  I don’t know what to think about what happened, it just didn’t make sense.  But I am a firm believer in karma.
So yesterday we finally found a way to settle the situation, and we agreed to pay the damage to her car. Guess what, during our phone conversation, she told me “I’ve been in your shoes before, and I’m a firm believer in karma” wow….I was stunned and I couldn’t believe what I heard!
Maybe it was not a coincidence after all. There may always be a reason why we would cross path, even in such unfortunate circumstance. I believe there is a stronger reason why the accident had to happen. The whole situation was settled easily without any issues whatsoever.
That was the semi bad news…
Now the good news…and good news for you as well in fact.
I hope you are ready to see how much success and improved results in 2014 you will achieve when you make the decision to work with me.
I want to track back to what I’ve mentioned just before the holiday started last year. I have been testing how SMS marketing really works. I have a few case studies on this and I have been literally blown away by the test results. I know you too will be blown away at what SMS marketing can do for you/your business. (Read my other post about Email Marketing vs SMS Marketing)
If you already have an online business like Empower Network, Pure Leverage, Power Lead System, MOBE, DSD, run your own offline business, run your consulting business or already are a rockstar Internet Marketer, you still want to look into doing SMS marketing… Why? Because the money is in the list. But what good is your list if you don’t have responses and no one actually opens your emails? I was able to downsell or upsell through casual texting…easily! This is why mobile marketing is so effective.
My leads became my friends, they confided in me, some of them are actually consultants and have been in the Internet Marketing industry for years!  Some of them are struggling Internet Marketers who have yet to see results. They appreciated the fact that I was a real person whom they can actually talk to.
In the next few posts I am going to reveal how I broke the ice with my leads, and how SMS marketing has truly helped my business. My first week in 2014 has definitely been great to me. I am grateful for what I have.  I can’t wait to see the rest of this year to unfold!
My 2014

Why Mobile Marketing Is So Effective

Why Mobile Marketing Is So Effective

Mobile phone is considered one of the most personal gadgets, if not most personal gadget. Mobile phone keeps you connected anywhere, anytime with your friends and family. When it comes to business, the mobile industry has grown so fast within the last two years, and text SMS marketing has become a powerful way for businesses to communicate with their customers.

I invite you to read through the Nielsen’s Mobile Consumer Report earlier this year.

Let’s take a look at the stats below. In the US alone on average, there are over 764 texts being sent and received per month on a single user.
Over 94% of those text messages are also being read within the first three minutes.

“The average number of texts has gone up 566% in just two years according to Nielsen report, far surpassing the average number of calls, which has stayed nearly steady.”

“SMS text messaging is by far one of the fastest growing sectors in mobile advertising with 9.6 trillion messages sent in 2012 alone, according to Portio Research.”

Text messaging has become one of the most effective ways to instantly connect with your clients/customers and leads.

When you compare the SMS open rates vs email open rates, the answer is clear where the trending is going. Mobile marketing is a great way to establish long term loyalty for local businesses like hair salon, restaurants, auto shops, and many others.

Mobile marketing is still fairly new in the online industry. But with more business owners turning to the Internet to grow their business, many more independent consultants and internet marketers offer their clients mobile marketing solutions.

With all that said, here are some key reasons why mobile marketing is so effective:

  • There are billions of mobile phones owners. More consumers own mobile phones than computers now. Mobile users carry their phones everywhere. 😉 (The last time I left my phone at home, it felt as bad as when I forgot to bring my purse and drove around town!)
  • Highly targeted. You are getting people who are interested in what you have to say opt in with their mobile numbers. They are giving you permissions to send them text messages. Opt out is as simple as replying to the text message sent by you with “mute” or “stop”
  • Instantly delivered and your messages are being opened in a matter of minutes.
  • High open rate. Statistically proven that the open rates for SMS is at least three times more than email open rates.
  • Direct communication channel. Two way text messaging can increase customer retention and connect with them on a more personal basis.
  • Cost effective.  When compared to traditional advertising on TV and newspapers, PPC, PPV, SMS marketing is way cheaper.
