How To Mobile Marketing

It is a given, whether you sell products online or not, that a solid internet presence is essential. Yet believe it or not, studies show that at least 46% of small businesses don’t have a website – a crazy statistic but unfortunately true.  But in today’s “on-the-go world” the reality is that a just having a traditional website alone is not enough. Websites that are made for laptop and PC viewing are simply not going to work on mobile devices. Consumers expect mobile-ready sites and will find something else if they are not mobile optimized.

How to Mobile Marketing

This question: “how to mobile marketing exactly?”comes up often. Many people are still confused when it comes to implementing mobile marketing strategy. The very first thing that you need to do is to make sure that your website is mobile friendly, or better yet, you need to create a stand alone mobile website. And you need to make sure that your site is cross-platform compatible. For example, a common beginner mistake is not taking into account that Flash doesn’t work on all platforms. Your mobile website shouldn’t be a duplicate of your regular website. Mobile versions should provide the key information in a format that is quick, easy and accessible. They should be “just the facts” – use less text and no long articles (which is a key strategy for traditional websites). Remember, they’re viewing your site on a small screen. Give users the option to view mobile or full version of your site– and let them choose what they need. If viewers like what they see and want to read more, they will save you in their favorites and check out your full website when they get to their bigger monitor.

Mobile Marketing Starts With a Mobile Compatible Website.

Yes, creating a mobile website will require a little bit of extra work, but in the end it will definitely be worth it. Let’s take a look at some of the advantages and benefits that a mobile ready website can offer:

  • Mobile websites are accessible from anywhere as long as the person has an internet capable mobile device.
  • Done correctly, mobile websites are optimized for smart phones, so that they load faster and work well on smaller screens.
  • Mobile sites are SEO friendly which results in good rankings on search engines such as Google. Like traditional websites, they can be registered in online directories so your audience can find you easily.
  • Mobile websites allow customers to use Geo-location apps that identify nearby businesses, making you easier to find and leading to better chances of making a sale.
  • Mobile websites bridge the gap between online and offline advertising. By using Quick Release Codes (QR codes – those funny little squares you see popping up all over the place) in marketing materials, in print advertising campaigns or on product packaging, you can lead potential customers directly to your mobile website where they can learn more about you and register for on-going newsletters.
  • Mobile websites help companies build their brand identity and stand out from their competition. By having a mobile website, your target audience can find you when they are actively looking for what they need – and are typically ready to make a purchase.
  • A mobile website can be developed so that it acts like a mobile app, which makes it a more practical alternative than an actual app because mobile websites are cheaper and easier to maintain and more customer accessible.
  • Mobile websites are a symbol of today’s fast paced world and having a mobile website puts your business ahead of your competition that doesn’t have one.

Now that we have clearly demonstrated why your business requires a mobile website, let’s turn to the practical side of things – how to get one set up. There are several options for how you can set up your mobile website. In order of preference they are:

1 .   Going Mobile by Installing a Responsive Website

2 .   Going Mobile by Creating a Mobile Ready Website

3 .   Going Mobile by Adapting Your Existing Website

4.    If you are creating a mobile capture page, then you need to sign up with services like Auto Recruiting Platform that allows you to collect your leads mobile number for SMS campaigns.

The term “responsive website” is used to describe websites that are specifically designed for needs of mobile viewers. These sites provide an optimal viewing experience by offering things such as easy reading and navigation with a minimum amount of resizing, zooming/panning or scrolling and are viewable across a wide range of devices (from smart phones, to tablets and even on desktop monitors).

Because of the way the code is written, responsive websites “respond to their environment” – the platform that they are running on. Whether a user opens your site on his laptop, his blackberry, his ipad or his preferred smartphone, the site will “know” what the platform is, and will adapt to provide the best user experience for it.  What this means is that you will have one single website that serves double-duty – it will work both on a when people are using the internet through “traditional means” and when they are accessing it on their mobile devices – whatever one they are using.

How to Mobile Marketing

If you are building your first website from scratch, it really makes sense to create a site that will meet all of your needs. With a responsive website, your clients and customers will be able to easily access and navigate your site whether they are at home, on an iPad or tablet, or on their smartphones. When your website is responsive and mobile-ready, that means your presence will look great everywhere.

And what’s great about creating Responsive Websites today is that you don’t have to know a stitch of code to do it!

There are many different options available for creating a Responsive Website, but one of the simplest is to utilize the WordPress option that is available through a wide variety of hosting companies.

What Is Mobile Marketing

Lots of people still wonder what mobile marketing is all about. So I will be writing a series of mobile marketing articles, starting with this first part.

Mobile marketing is a subset of internet or online marketing. Put quite simply, it refers to anything you do to promote your business to potential clients and customers while they are “on the go.” This type of marketing combines a system of creating a mobile online presence and sending targeted permission-based messages, utilizing a variety of methods such as texts, pictures, videos, and “mobile coupons” or QR codes. Mobile marketing enables businesses to reach potential customers “where they live” — and today, that’s very frequently online and on-the-go.

Mobile Marketing

What is Mobile Marketing

While people are still using laptops and PCs; gone are the days when these are the only way for people to go online. With the wide-spread availability of smart phones and tablets, behaviors have changed and today people are literally spending a lot more time accessing the internet through their mobile devices than on traditional computers. Studies report that cell phone usage will reach 7 billion users world-wide at the end of 2014. That number will continue to grow. Mobile Marketing is HUGE.

If you are not currently utilizing some type of mobile marketing strategy, you are missing out on a tremendous opportunity to get more prospective customers and sales by reaching out to your target audience where they are spending most of their “online” time. In today’s world, mobile devices have almost become an indispensable part of every day life.

Released in May 2013, Google’s Our Mobile Planet: Understanding the Mobile Consumer report provides some powerful numbers about how much people have come to rely on their mobile devices. In the United States 83% of people surveyed reported that they never leave home without their smartphones. But that doesn’t mean that they only use them when they are on the go – 96% of people use their devices when they are at home.

As a matter of fact, survey after survey shows that people access their mobile phones just about everywhere – including unlikely places such as at weddings, funerals and even in the bathroom (you may have done it too!) ;). In fact there were studies that shown that 19% of smartphone users broke their phones while in the bathroom. Well, that says a lot about mobile isn’t it? 😉

One study even found that 91% of smart phone users pretty much always have their device within an arm’s reach away (Source).

According to the 2103 Google study:

  • Smartphones have become an indispensable part of our daily lives. Smartphone penetration has risen to 56% of the population and these smartphone owners are becoming increasingly reliant on their devices. 67% access the Internet every day on their smartphone and most never leave home without it.
  • Smartphones have transformed consumer behavior. Mobile search, video, app usage and social networking are prolific. Smartphone users are multi-tasking their media with 82% using their phone while doing other things such as watching TV (53%).
  • Smartphones help users navigate the world. Appearing on smartphones is critical for local businesses. 94% of smartphone users look for local information on their phone and 84% take action as a result, such as making a purchase or contacting the business.

These findings, as well as those from numerous other reports, prove that that if you are looking for a highly effective way to reach your target audience, then you need to connect with them where they are spending a large percentage of their time: mobile devices.

Evidence from Google’s 2012 report Our Mobile Planet: Global Smartphone Users makes it clear that there is definite “buying power” in these little hand-held devices. Let’s take a look. In the US alone:

  • 92% of users report that they use their smart phones to conduct local searches. Of these, 21% acted on that information by making a purchase from the business online and 25% made a purchase in-store.
  • 51% of people surveyed said that they had called a business that they looked up, 49% researched businesses on a map, 48% said they visited the actual business and 47% went to the business website – all after conducting a search from their mobile device.
  • 63% of mobile shoppers state that they make monthly purchases directly from their smartphone rather than going to their laptop or pc.
  • A significant number stated their smartphone has a direct result on their buying decisions. 39% carry their mobile devices specifically so they can research information and compare products – with 32% reporting they changed their mind about a product while in a store because of information they found on their mobile device.

So at this point, it should be clear that mobile marketing provides a great opportunity for the growth of your business, but you may be wondering “Can I afford it?”

Believe it or not, mobile marketing is not expensive at all.  The first step is to make sure that you have a website that is mobile optimized. In terms of ROI, mobile marketing can be much less expensive than traditional advertising methods. I personally like Mobile SMS marketing as it has proven to be more efficient when reaching targeted audience. You know where they spend their time at. 😉

With mobile marketing you don’t have to worry about things like “what is the best time to send my email so that it doesn’t get buried in the inbox?” or “how can I make sure that people see my banner ad?”

More to come on “what is mobile marketing” in my next post.

Why Mobile Marketing Is So Effective

Why Mobile Marketing Is So Effective

Mobile phone is considered one of the most personal gadgets, if not most personal gadget. Mobile phone keeps you connected anywhere, anytime with your friends and family. When it comes to business, the mobile industry has grown so fast within the last two years, and text SMS marketing has become a powerful way for businesses to communicate with their customers.

I invite you to read through the Nielsen’s Mobile Consumer Report earlier this year.

Let’s take a look at the stats below. In the US alone on average, there are over 764 texts being sent and received per month on a single user.
Over 94% of those text messages are also being read within the first three minutes.

“The average number of texts has gone up 566% in just two years according to Nielsen report, far surpassing the average number of calls, which has stayed nearly steady.”

“SMS text messaging is by far one of the fastest growing sectors in mobile advertising with 9.6 trillion messages sent in 2012 alone, according to Portio Research.”

Text messaging has become one of the most effective ways to instantly connect with your clients/customers and leads.

When you compare the SMS open rates vs email open rates, the answer is clear where the trending is going. Mobile marketing is a great way to establish long term loyalty for local businesses like hair salon, restaurants, auto shops, and many others.

Mobile marketing is still fairly new in the online industry. But with more business owners turning to the Internet to grow their business, many more independent consultants and internet marketers offer their clients mobile marketing solutions.

With all that said, here are some key reasons why mobile marketing is so effective:

  • There are billions of mobile phones owners. More consumers own mobile phones than computers now. Mobile users carry their phones everywhere. 😉 (The last time I left my phone at home, it felt as bad as when I forgot to bring my purse and drove around town!)
  • Highly targeted. You are getting people who are interested in what you have to say opt in with their mobile numbers. They are giving you permissions to send them text messages. Opt out is as simple as replying to the text message sent by you with “mute” or “stop”
  • Instantly delivered and your messages are being opened in a matter of minutes.
  • High open rate. Statistically proven that the open rates for SMS is at least three times more than email open rates.
  • Direct communication channel. Two way text messaging can increase customer retention and connect with them on a more personal basis.
  • Cost effective.  When compared to traditional advertising on TV and newspapers, PPC, PPV, SMS marketing is way cheaper.

SMS Marketing VS Email Marketing

SMS Marketing VS Email Marketing

SMS Marketing VS Email Marketing

SMS Marketing VS Email Marketing

There has been a number of studies around SMS Marketing vs Email Marketing lately. So I thought of writing this and share how this can affect your business.

If you are going to stay around Internet Marketing or run your Online Business for the long haul, then you want to read this entire post. The comparison probably will force you to re-think how you want to communicate with your audience. If you have been struggling to make sales in your business, it will be beneficial for you to look into SMS Marketing early.

Email marketing has gotten to be more challenging than ever for Internet Marketers and small business owners. You have to decide where to spend your advertising budget each month. You also need to thoroughly think about how you want to communicate with your subscribers, leads or clients via your newsletters.  Recent studies have shown that the read rates for emails are not more than 20% and this number continues to decline.  With that said, I am going to give you an example to illustrate how this affects your business.

– Based on that 20% open rates (assuming if you get that at all), and you blast out 100 emails, 80 of them are not even going to be read by your subscribers, leads or clients. Leaving you with only 20 people reading your emails.

– And out of that 20 people, not everyone are going to click on your links or even check out whatever you’re trying to sell them.

– Let’s just assume a modest number of 10 people click on your links. Did you know that not all of them are going to buy?

– Let’s break it down further more…out of those 10 people, you would be lucky to have one to three buyers for your offer. In fact it is not surprising if you don’t even get sales with poor email open rates.

It is unfortunate but it is a fact…I am the girl who just says everything as it is. Internet marketing is all about numbers.

Let me ask you, how many times have you received an email and delete it before even reading it? That is because people refer to email marketing as spams. If you have been in online business, maybe it is time to be honest with yourself and re-think how you want to communicate digitally.

In comparison to email marketing, here is the break down on SMS marketing…

99% of mobile phone owners use text messages. 90% of the time people have their mobile phones within their arms reach (at all times). 94% of the time text messages are being read within the first three minutes.

It is fact that you need both traffic and leads that convert. No matter what you are trying to sell you need highly targeted audience and people who read your messages. From there, again it is all a numbers game.

This is why you want non-stop traffic and non-stop leads coming to you.

Auto Recruiting Platform does it all for you. Highly targeted traffic that converts to leads. Leads that converts to buyers. And these are much higher quality leads than email audience. These are people who are ready to do business with you, and they give you the permission to send them text messages.  This is by far the best platform I have seen that happens to be a complete marketing solution for business owners.

The best part? SMS marketing is short and to the point. You don’t have to write a lengthy email newsletter. It’s like tweeting on Twitter in a way. 😉

This is the platform that all businesses online and offline need and will want to pay for. Imagine if your local dentist can blast this kind of messages:

“Get the smile you deserve. Free teeth whitening after initial check-up. $250 value. Call today. 555-555-5555”

Or if you want to promote your primary online business:

“Want to start a business? [URL] Click here to find out how I did it”

See how simple it is with text marketing?

This is your chance to get in at the ground level and take advantage of the benefits of becoming a founding member.

You have nothing to lose, check out Auto Recruiting Platform and watch the presentation. You will see why this is the ultimate platform that can quadruple, tenfold your sales in 2014 and beyond.

So what do you think the winner is? SMS Marketing vs Email Marketing ? You will know the answer once you watch the presentation. This maybe your answer to run a successful online business. 😉

Email Marketing vs SMS Marketing

Email Marketing vs SMS Marketing

I figured I would share my game plan for 2014 and how I can help you more in your business. It involves scaling up my business and multiplying my income sources. But I have some bad news and good news and I want to cover both.

I have always preached that one should be building their subscribers list the moment they jump into Internet Marketing or doing some type of online business. Regardless what niche you’re in, your list is your asset. Who are you selling to otherwise? Like the saying “The money is in the list”  But let me ask you this…what good is it if your list isn’t responsive? They don’t open your emails, they don’t know you. And yet people only do business with someone they trust.

Here comes the bad news…email marketing is not as effective anymore. Internet Marketers have been fighting to get their emails delivered to subscribers’ inboxes. Unfortunately, the odds aren’t in Internet Marketers’/Online Entrepreneurs’ favors. A few individuals in this industry claim to have more than 50% email open rates recently, but I found something quite disturbing about this claim. They would send text messages (SMS) to their subscriber’s mobile phones to check out their emails for details. And wallaaaa….of course…the email open rates were through the roof! I don’t like people who claim something but do another thing. Perhaps many people did not notice this, but I did.

The moment I entered the industry, I chose to be an ethical and honest online entrepreneur. I made the decision to be different because of how much junk out there. I made the decision to truly deliver value and do what I can to contribute to the success of others in the online industry.

Now back to the point above…the truth is most marketers and online business owners aren’t able to get more than 20% of their emails opened in general. This is a painful fact.

So Email Marketing or SMS Marketing?

Together with a few of my business partners and friends, we looked for a solution to help fellow marketers and online business owners. In fact I don’t come in here to promote this to you as my subscriber until now because I wanted to make sure this is what it says it is. I took the time to experienced the system and, allow me to share this with you.

The solution to this problem is SMS based marketing with SMS marketing Services such as Auto Recruiting Platform. Mobile marketing is still considerably new. The mobile industry is HUGE. I can’t even begin to tell you how big this industry is…studies have shown and proven that more people use smartphones than computers now. This is just the beginning. Like anyone who jumped onto doing online business via email marketing over a decade ago, the ones who jumped onto mobile marketing now are the ones who won’t have to worry about marketing in the years to come.

Here comes the exciting part: Over 98% of SMS Marketing messages are opened and read. And as high as 94% of these messages are being read by subscribers within the first three minutes.

This is the good news: complement your email marketing with SMS Mobile marketing. If you already have a business now and already building a list, compare the results to when you send text messages to your prospects/leads, clients. Etc.

Check out this page where I go in depths about this SMS Marketing Platform that happens to be a Business in a Box all on its own.

It doesn’t matter if you already have a business.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a business.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a veteran and expert in this industry.
It doesn’t matter if you’re still a newbie.

It doesn’t matter if you already have a subscribers list.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have a subscribers list.

It doesn’t matter what your background is.

Bottom line, you need this marketing system if you’re doing business. This is your biggest weapon to dominate 2014. You can promote ANYTHING…EASILY.You’re looking at responsive leads, responsive people who’re ready to do business with you anytime. You might as well call this your own ATM machine. :)

I can tell you one thing for sure. This is the last thing you’ll ever need to help you generate true income online.

So, who is the winner when it comes to marketing now and the very near future? Email marketing vs SMS marketing.  The winner in my opinion, without the slightest doubt is clearly SMS/Text Marketing.

I invite you to partner up with me on Auto Recruiting Platform. Opt in with your number and go through the funnels yourself to see why this is the biggest thing you don’t want to miss.

I don’t like to brag just so you know (loathe it with every fiber of my being).  But this gives you an idea on who you’re looking to partner with.
