5 Things That Guarantee You To Be Successful Online


I want to break down the five things you need to focus on if you want to make money online month after month, year after year, for the rest of your life.

Here they are:

1) Build your list.
2) Identify who your audience are. Research their problems and come out with the solution (i.e. you and products you promote).
3) Learn copywriting.
4) Do videos.
5) Network with other successful people.

I’m going to break these down for you.

I’ll start with #1 – List building. This is your only asset in your online business. This is the only thing that you can take with you anywhere you go (even if you jump into another biz op).  SEO changes all the time and you must follow the white hat rules to stay in Google’s game. Social media constantly change too. Take Facebook for example, just within the past 10 months alone, they’ve changed the algorithm on fan pages, and just in the recent weeks, they changed the algorithm on personal profiles. Many social media marketers were affected by this. This is why the only thing that matter is your list (email & SMS).  You have full control on your list.

As a side note, you can’t be cheap when it comes to auto responder. If you go with a cheap unreliable service, you’re going to kick yourself when something happens.

#2 – Identify your core audience. I got this wrong when I first started.  You can’t market to everyone. For example, if you’re in the body building niche, you can’t market to people in the golf niche. You just don’t speak the golfer’s language. Does that make sense?  Once you figure your target audience, tailor your content to fit your target market. Come up with a solution for them, because it’s all about giving your market what they want.

#3 – Learn copywriting. One of my mentors actually told me the importance of copywriting. It’s one of those things that most marketers don’t care about. Let me ask you. If you’re an online marketer, what industry are you in exactly? 😉 Wouldn’t it make sense to learn how to write properly so that you can easily convince your prospects to work with you? Everything is associated with copywriting; From sales funnels, sales pages, online ads, to your daily email newsletters.  You won’t become a good writer overnight, but I can promise you this is the one skill that you can take anywhere, and make you money. There are full time copywriters, and great copy writers can charge anywhere between $10k to $25k per one writing gig.

English is my third language, and I hated writing throughout high school and college.  You may even write better than me and notice all my grammar mistakes. 😉 It didn’t stop me from writing.

#4 – Do Videos. Many people avoid doing videos. They don’t want to be anywhere near the cameras. They simply hate seeing themselves on videos. I didn’t like being on videos before , I’m not going to say that I love being on videos now either. I challenged myself because I wanted to stretch outside of my comfort zone. Was it easy? Heck no lol. I deleted my videos over and over again until I ‘semi approved’ myself.

Let me just tell you this, videos convert very well and they’re free. No matter what your niche is, your audience is already hanging out on video websites like YouTube, Vimeo, etc. You don’t always have to show your face, but you must be willing to do videos if you want to be so much more ahead than your competitors. I’ve done videos in different niches and here’s the best part. They convert to free super targeted traffic. I lost counts how many times I’ve gotten buyers from videos that I put up 2+ years or so ago, and these leads turned buyers without me having to talk to them. This is true passive income.

#5 – Networking with other successful people.  You’ll learn a lot from these people. Go to an event, work with a mentor, connect with other business owners or people in the same industry as yours. Surround yourself with positive people who’ll lift you up and see the potential in you. Entrepreneurs tend to be lonely while walking on this path to freedom, unless your family are entrepreneurs too, no one will understand what you go through. Again this is why it’s important to surround yourself with successful people, you’ll learn from them and you will want to follow their footsteps.

So there you have all the 5 important factors you absolutely must have if you want to make money online forever. This is about building a real business and what it takes to be successful.

Will this guarantee your success though? I can’t guarantee anything, because I don’t know what you’ll do with everything I’ve mentioned. You can run with it or do nothing with it. The only person who can guarantee your success is you.

If you are looking to strengthen your online presence through blogging and videos, you need to know how to SEO.

Have you noticed that every SEO forum or big blogs you stop by are constantly touting the power and necessity of backlinks? Must be a pretty big deal if you ask me. 😉

What exactly is a backlink?

A backlink is a link on another website (external) that leads to a page on your website. For instance, a link on this page to a page on another website would be a backlink for that webpage. Backlinks can come from a variety of sources. It helps to improve your search engine rankings, and they provide additional exposure and access to your website from external sources. This is also called Off Page SEO.

There are tons of ways to get backlinks and each of the methods takes time to learn and master. Rather than getting super-in-depth with any single back-linking strategy, I’m going to give you some tips to get backlinks. If implemented correctly, your content will show up on search engines with your relevant keywords. The image below gives you an illustration on how backlinks look like.

While the best backlinks are those that are earned on the strength of great content, great content will not be seen unless the web page it occupies is highly visible in the search results. If it’s not seen, it won’t attract backlinks. If it doesn’t attract backlinks, search engines will not see it as an authoritative page and, as a result, it will be virtually invisible in the search results. Little or no visibility in the search results perpetuates the vicious cycle of little or no search referral traffic, few or no backlinks, and low authority.

How do we get backlinks?

1) There are proven option of getting your articles published on authority article directories in order to increase the exposure of your website to millions of visitors and get valuable search engine rankings. Getting published in article directories won’t cost you a dime so I think you’ll agree this makes it a great investment.

A good thing to remember, in regards to backlinks, is to place all the links permissible to you in your article. A thorough reading of the editorial guidelines will help you create valuable content efficiently. Typically, depending on the article directory, you can have one or two “non-self-serving” links in the article body and two “self-serving” links in the author resource box.

2) As we all know Social bookmarks are a great way to get backlinks. Social bookmarking sites get crawled constantly by the search engines. When you post a bookmark on one, your will likely be crawled in a matter of hours. It really is that easy. Of course, you can never guarantee anything that Google or other search engines will do, but your link is more than likely to be indexed in a relatively short period of time with just a bookmark or two.

3) Another great way of getting backlinks are through press releases and news announcements. This approach gives good results since there are many websites that can publish your articles for free through announcements. You need to make a professionally written document for a press release to be able to attract more attention and get visitors to your website.

4) You can also get backlinks by exchanging contents and affiliate programs. This can be through offering RSS feeds to interested sites for free as they do the same for you. You can then be able to get more visitors as they look to get more information based on the abstract they read from other websites.

5) You can use joint ventures, co-branding or partnership for the purpose of getting backlinks. To do this you can make a request to have them link back to your website. Another option on how to get backlinks is to do a guest post on these websites and include a link as free content for them. This will make it possible for them to get more traffic through reference.

6) Another method to use is the “link-bait”. This basically means giving away a gift so as to be able to get backlinks. A way to do this is to have gift cards from shopping websites online to attract more visitors to your websites. Many readers will want to get the gift in the offer and this increases readership, since they have to go through your website to win.

7) Forums can be an amazing means for building blog backlinks. What you do is to search out related forums in your niche. I recommend adding your blog url as a backlink in your forum signature. Then every post you make has a backlink to your blog. A good forum post can send 100s of visitors to your blog in a week, or even a day.

8) And here’s an important one…make sure you deep link within your own blog.  Meaning, you want to link one article to another relevant articles within your own blog.

If you don’t have a lot of budget, you can build strong followers and get leads to your business with Facebook. The problem is, I see a lot of people do social media marketing the wrong way every single day. They constantly pitch on their walls, or use auto posters in various groups.

When you pitch so much asking people to join your business, you can lose your friends in your network. Or your friends can choose to “hide” all future posts done by you. Basically, it’s like you never existed.

Imagine… what if you have full 5000 friends and yet majority of them hide you from their newsfeeds. (ouch!)

Start by customizing your Facebook cover. Put up your smiley face picture as your profile picture. People relate to people, not pictures of pets or kids. You can take a picture of yours with your pet or children though. But it comes down to: Don’t hide behind your computer if you want to make money online.

When I first started, my idea of making money online was to hide behind the computer. I thought I could pull it off this way. I didn’t want to start a blog, I didn’t want to do videos, I used a pen name to publish articles in article directories. Basically, I didn’t want to be “found” online. I thought there were so much creepy people out there that I wanted to have no online presence whatsoever.  It was a big mistake.

Facebook is such a goldmine if you know how to utilize it to get leads. But spamming and pitching people to get into your business isn’t the right way to do it. Don’t send private messages to get people to join you. If you’re doing this right now, stop.



Here’s what I suggest you do if you want to ATTRACT the right people into your business: Facebook Attraction Marketing Tips

1) Clean up your wall. Don’t post crap and useless stuff on your wall: Anything non marketing, business, personal story that can motivate people…just don’t post them.  If people want to read news they’d go to news websites. If people want to comment on entertainment stuff they’d go to gossip/celebrity news websites. People who’re running a business want to read related posts, they want to be motivated themselves, they look up to their peers and other entrepreneurs.

Don’t post politics, religion related, or hates on other people either.
I’m not saying that you can’t publicly show your beliefs. But when you constantly post about your religion, you’re driving people who have different beliefs away from you. If you want to do this, I recommend you start a new Facebook account strictly for family and friends. I personally have two Facebook accounts (personal and business) myself.

The bottom line is, you want to be seen as a leader, someone who’re an influence in business. If you’re a negative person talking about your life and other people, nobody want to be around you.  Your wall is a reflection of you on Facebook.

2) Allow people to comment and follow you if they’re not comfortable to add you as “friends” yet. Go to settings and you can see the option to allow “follow”.

3) Provide value and be of help to other people. Don’t expect anything in return. It’ll comeback tenfold to you. This is a very competitive industry, but it’s worth it if you know how to present yourself.

What make you different than the average Joe or Jane who’re pitching non stop? Think about how you can add value to people’s lives. 95% people jump into online marketing or network marketing industry thinking they can be rich overnight or within a short time. Why do you think the failure rate is so high?  If you have this mentality, I suggest you stick to your day job; I am saving you years of frustrations.

4) Don’t show off money on people’s face. There’s a place to do it, and Facebook wall isn’t the place to do it. People are turned off by this.


  • Post your story, how you overcome obstacles in life, let people see that you’re real, that you’re vulnerable. People can relate to you this way. No one is perfect, just be you. Don’t hide yourself.
  • Give useful tips to other people.

6) You don’t need to post more than once a day on your own Facebook wall, but make it count. Don’t just post random quotes, so many people are doing this. It’s no longer unique, people get tired of seeing the same stuff posted over and over again. Write useful articles.

– Start following authors, and top leaders in MLM, Internet Marketing, and Motivational speakers. (Brian Tracy, T Harv Eker, Tony Robbins, Seth Godin, Jim Rohn. If you’re a network marketer, follow top network marketers in various companies. Don’t just limit yourself to people that you know.

– Hit like and comment on their posts, not just short post like “thank you”.  Formulate your thoughts before you comment.

– When you spend so much time reading and commenting on other people’s posts, you’ll come up with a lot of ideas on what to post for your own wall.

This is a great way to get people to “friend” you. This strategy works every time.

7) Don’t  add hundreds of people at once, you’ll end up in the “Facebook jail”.  Especially if a number of them don’t want to accept your friendship (for whatever reason). After someone accepted your friendship, send them a private message to say “Thank you for adding me, nice to meet you.” Keep it simple.

8) Get quality people on your Facebook friends list. Don’t rush to maximize your friends list to 5K. I see people everyday trying to max out their friends list. Think of FB friends like your email list, treat them with respect. Give them so much value that they’d join your business when you post a link within the body of your post.

9) Connect with people outside of your biz ops. People make the mistake of connecting with only people in the same business opportunity. Why are you limiting yourself with people who’re already in the same business?  Think about it.

10) Invest in a domain that you can use for fb marketing. Something fun and interesting is always good. Or you can stick to your own name. Use that domain to forward to your primary business. Use this domain regardless what biz op you want to promote in the future, think of it as part of your branding.

In the past few years, I have been working with small business owners and with people who want to start a business. One of the most common problems I see is that people do not have faith or a belief system in place. Don’t confuse faith with religion here, the faith I am talking about has nothing to do with religion.

I have seen time and time again that people who failed in their business did not do so because they were not smart enough, but it was because they did not strong enough faith that they could success.  I am often speechless when people say things like “it is okay for others to be successful, I don’t have what they have”.   Most people don’t realize that all it takes to be successful is to get started. You don’t need to know how to code, you don’t need to know how to design webpages, you won’t always know how to connect the dots right away. Heck, there are many things I still don’t know how to do but I strive to figure it out. You will stumble along the way, but if you have faith in yourself, you will figure out how to run a successful business.

Today, I want to talk about why personal growth and your business go hand in hand.  

If you think personal growth and your business has nothing to do with each other, think again. Many companies hire personal growth or peak performance coaches to produce better results. It is more common than you think now, and you may be wondering why. Often times companies, owners,  and entrepreneurs hit a plateau and cannot get growing as they did before. The reason behind this is a lack of personal growth. 

This plateau could be caused by various reasons. Fear of taking the next step, fear of taking a big risk, not knowing what to do next, or being too comfortable with their current status. What is the number one rule to success? It is to step out of your comfort zone , and constantly be stretching yourself beyond your “limits”. The problem is we cannot always see the blind spot. After all, it is called a “blind spot” for a reason.

Sometimes, all you need is for them to show you what needs to be done to move past the current problems with your business.   • You cannot start a business without a belief system. It is far too easy for people get in a habit of being self defeating. In fact, many people do this without realizing it. 
  • Your belief system is tied with your personal growth.

You must recognize and understand that your beliefs contribute to your success. In order to fully believe in yourself, you must work from the inside and dream even bigger. Your dream can turn into a reality when you believe in yourself.

You must first acknowledge that your business is already growing. Then you need to envision how your life will change with that. 
Make personal growth as part of your life and your business, consciously and subconcsiously. When you realize how important this is to your overall being and your success, you will direct all your thoughts, energy and full focus to make things happen. Personal growth and your business are tied together. Make a goal to make it part of your daily routines.
