Facebook Attraction Marketing Tips

Facebook Attraction Marketing Tips

If you don’t have a lot of budget, you can build strong followers and get leads to your business with Facebook. The problem is, I see a lot of people do social media marketing the wrong way every single day. They constantly pitch on their walls, or use auto posters in various groups.

When you pitch so much asking people to join your business, you can lose your friends in your network. Or your friends can choose to “hide” all future posts done by you. Basically, it’s like you never existed.

Imagine… what if you have full 5000 friends and yet majority of them hide you from their newsfeeds. (ouch!)

Start by customizing your Facebook cover. Put up your smiley face picture as your profile picture. People relate to people, not pictures of pets or kids. You can take a picture of yours with your pet or children though. But it comes down to: Don’t hide behind your computer if you want to make money online.

When I first started, my idea of making money online was to hide behind the computer. I thought I could pull it off this way. I didn’t want to start a blog, I didn’t want to do videos, I used a pen name to publish articles in article directories. Basically, I didn’t want to be “found” online. I thought there were so much creepy people out there that I wanted to have no online presence whatsoever.  It was a big mistake.

Facebook is such a goldmine if you know how to utilize it to get leads. But spamming and pitching people to get into your business isn’t the right way to do it. Don’t send private messages to get people to join you. If you’re doing this right now, stop.

Here’s what I suggest you do if you want to ATTRACT the right people into your business: Facebook Attraction Marketing Tips

1) Clean up your wall. Don’t post crap and useless stuff on your wall: Anything non marketing, business, personal story that can motivate people…just don’t post them.  If people want to read news they’d go to news websites. If people want to comment on entertainment stuff they’d go to gossip/celebrity news websites. People who’re running a business want to read related posts, they want to be motivated themselves, they look up to their peers and other entrepreneurs.

Don’t post politics, religion related, or hates on other people either.
I’m not saying that you can’t publicly show your beliefs. But when you constantly post about your religion, you’re driving people who have different beliefs away from you. If you want to do this, I recommend you start a new Facebook account strictly for family and friends. I personally have two Facebook accounts (personal and business) myself.

The bottom line is, you want to be seen as a leader, someone who’re an influence in business. If you’re a negative person talking about your life and other people, nobody want to be around you.  Your wall is a reflection of you on Facebook.

2) Allow people to comment and follow you if they’re not comfortable to add you as “friends” yet. Go to settings and you can see the option to allow “follow”.

3) Provide value and be of help to other people. Don’t expect anything in return. It’ll comeback tenfold to you. This is a very competitive industry, but it’s worth it if you know how to present yourself.

What make you different than the average Joe or Jane who’re pitching non stop? Think about how you can add value to people’s lives. 95% people jump into online marketing or network marketing industry thinking they can be rich overnight or within a short time. Why do you think the failure rate is so high?  If you have this mentality, I suggest you stick to your day job; I am saving you years of frustrations.

4) Don’t show off money on people’s face. There’s a place to do it, and Facebook wall isn’t the place to do it. People are turned off by this.

  • Post your story, how you overcome obstacles in life, let people see that you’re real, that you’re vulnerable. People can relate to you this way. No one is perfect, just be you. Don’t hide yourself.
  • Give useful tips to other people.

6) You don’t need to post more than once a day on your own Facebook wall, but make it count. Don’t just post random quotes, so many people are doing this. It’s no longer unique, people get tired of seeing the same stuff posted over and over again. Write useful articles.

– Start following authors, and top leaders in MLM, Internet Marketing, and Motivational speakers. (Brian Tracy, T Harv Eker, Tony Robbins, Seth Godin, Jim Rohn. If you’re a network marketer, follow top network marketers in various companies. Don’t just limit yourself to people that you know.

– Hit like and comment on their posts, not just short post like “thank you”.  Formulate your thoughts before you comment.

– When you spend so much time reading and commenting on other people’s posts, you’ll come up with a lot of ideas on what to post for your own wall.

This is a great way to get people to “friend” you. This strategy works every time.

7) Don’t  add hundreds of people at once, you’ll end up in the “Facebook jail”.  Especially if a number of them don’t want to accept your friendship (for whatever reason). After someone accepted your friendship, send them a private message to say “Thank you for adding me, nice to meet you.” Keep it simple.

8) Get quality people on your Facebook friends list. Don’t rush to maximize your friends list to 5K. I see people everyday trying to max out their friends list. Think of FB friends like your email list, treat them with respect. Give them so much value that they’d join your business when you post a link within the body of your post.

9) Connect with people outside of your biz ops. People make the mistake of connecting with only people in the same business opportunity. Why are you limiting yourself with people who’re already in the same business?  Think about it.

10) Invest in a domain that you can use for fb marketing. Something fun and interesting is always good. Or you can stick to your own name. Use that domain to forward to your primary business. Use this domain regardless what biz op you want to promote in the future, think of it as part of your branding.

Process Of Making Money Online

Way too many people over complicate the process of making money online. So I wanted to break down the process in four simple repetitive steps.

process of making money online

Here’s the Simplified Process of Making Money Online

#1) You need to have an offer. It can be a free offer (a bait) or it can be a hot product in demand. If you don’t have anything to sell, you don’t have a business. It’s that simple.

#2) You need to know how to setup a squeeze page/landing page. If you don’t know how, it is time to learn and master how to build a squeeze page. This is how you capture your leads email addresses, or even mobile numbers if you’re doing SMS marketing in addition to email marketing. There are several ways of doing this. But it comes down to either giveaway some type of free offer or redirect people to a sales page.

Giving people some type of free valuable offer is a great way for building relationships and establishing trust.  This is also why I love blogs. Your blog can be used as a central marketing platform to connect with your followers, readers and subscribers. Give away all your knowledge and your training. People automatically see you as someone they can trust. Sales come naturally from this process alone.

If you choose to promote a hot product and hook up your squeeze page to a sales page, then consider this… you need to show yourself before redirecting your leads to the sales page. Ideally a video introduction stating who you are, and what your leads are about to see on the next page. It is just like you are introducing yourself like you would if you were to meet someone new in real life. Most marketers are sending their leads from cold traffic directly to a sales page, and this is a very bad practice. Only a very small percentage of people will buy right away. More than 80% of people who are presented the offers will not buy right away, and this is why your follow ups are important.

#3) Re-Invest your profits into scaling up. Most people don’t do this. If you promote high tickets offers, let’s just say you make $3000 commission. Think about reinvesting at least 20% of that profit into scaling up. Buy paid traffic, scale up your SEO, outsource more so you can get more done by leveraging a virtual assistant, etc. If you want to scale up to a six figure business fast, this is the fastest way to do it.

#4) Rinse and repeat. Once you get that down, all you need to do is repeat the process. Test, tweak, and repeat the whole process above.

As you can see, the process of making money online is dead simple. You can get up and running in four simple steps.

process of making money online

Now listen up…I am going to let you in a little secret as you go through this process of making money online.

People don’t buy products. People buy people. People don’t like to be sold to, but they love to buy.

Think about it as you read that and put yourself in the same situation. Do you like to be pitched at…? Exactly…;)

Give out your best value upfront. Give and give more. Don’t even think of profit when you start. Let them come to you and make their own decision. And trust me this is the only way you will start making money online. As harsh as this may sound to you, you can’t expect to make quick bucks in this industry. If you’re broke to your last penny, don’t turn to the Internet to start making money. It won’t happen overnight.  However, if you’re broke but willing to put in a lot of work, you will see results in 6 monthsThe key is be consistent.

Start learning and implementing.

How to get good content for your website

The biggest complain I have heard from people when it comes to blogging is “mental block/writer’s block”. People have a hard time to come up with good content for their website or even web 2.0 properties for back-linking purpose.

I do both paid traffic and free traffic. I love both and they compliment each other. The way I think of free traffic is like long term savings. And paid traffic for short term. I know it is a little weird, but I am a bit weird myself 😉

Anywho, the downside with free traffic is you don’t get results right away. This is what turns most people off from doing free traffic. But the benefits for long terms…priceless. Let me ask you, how many times do you search online for something specific? Whether it is for local search, or specific items that you are considering to buy. Chances are, you actually go online to read some reviews before you decide to buy anything. This is why content is king.

So today, I am sharing a strategy that gives you an unfair advantage in producing good content for your site, web 2.0 properties, article marketing, or even a baseline for your video marketing content.

I just posted this video tutorial, it’s a little over 9 minutes long and you can apply it right away.  Watch the video below.

What you need/resources mentioned in the video:

1) www.expireddomains.net
2) www.google.com
3) web.archive.org/
4) Spin rewriter tool (whatever you currently use)
5) Plagiarism check site like copyscape.com

How to market a business

How to market a business online

I was inspired to write this post after seeing a number of people who promote their business the wrong way. There has been countless of times where I was approached by marketers on Facebook who pitched their businesses to me. In fact, some of them were downright ‘rude’ in my book; such as sending a message without greetings and went straight to pitch “Join me HERE, you’ll grow your business FAST“. My thoughts were…”Let me think for a second…who are YOU and WHY should I join you?” 😉

You should first build a rapport before you attempt to ask anyone to join your business. And in my experience,  blogging is a wonderful way to market both your business and your brand.  Additionally,  text marketing and email marketing also help you in building and maintaining relationships with your followers and prospects.

How to market a business online via blogging

If you are an internet marketer, a product creator or network marketer,  your blog should be used as a way to communicate and provide value to your followers and prospects. You do not want to use your blog as pure advertising platform. I have seen a lot of blogs that are overloaded with graphics. This is a turn off to anyone who comes across your blog. You want to keep your blog as clean and professional as possible.

So how to market a business online via blogging exactly? Your blog should be filled with content that can also prove that you are an expert in your niche. You should aim to be a problem solver in your field, this will make you valuable and respectable in your field (think authority). People often ask me how to market a business online with blogs and what are the benefits of blogging? Well it comes down to one thing.  You will have a lot of influence to your followers and prospects, which will result in future sales. Business is all about relationships, and your blog is the bridge to your followers.

While at this, I want to share a little bit of tips on how to market a small business online via blogging as well.

How to market a small business online via blogging

Many small business owners do not blog. In fact, if you are one of them, you are already leaving a lot of money on the table.

Blogging has been exceptionally simplified today with WordPress (the most popular blogging platform). You can easily install with a few clicks via your webhost and get up and running within minutes. (I cover this in my bootcamp, so feel free to take advantage of my free bootcamp if you have not already). Of course, if you want to customize your blog, it can take a little bit more time and some know how. When you blog, you can connect and share relevant and timely information with your customers and clients.  In an essence, it is a way you communicate directly with them. Your blog can be the most powerful content marketing platform.

We are in a digital technology era now that any business without websites or any online presence, cannot sustain and compete other businesses with websites. And today we are definitely seeing a lot of the world population spending their time online. If your business do not have a blog, you are losing out to your competitors. I have seen time and time again people look for information online for nearly everything. People go online to check out local deals, restaurants, events, etc … from home, while on the go, via their mobile phones.  So if you think you are doing well without a website or a blog, think again.

If you are a business owner who already have a website, you also want to make sure that your blog is mobile optimized. More people are spending time online via their mobile devices.  Fortunately, many blog themes are already mobile compatible. For example, I use Genesis theme for my blog on wealthandmoney.net , and it is by far one of my favorite themes.

How to market a business example…

Say you own a Japanese restaurant in Los Angeles. Then there is a tourist or someone who just moved to Los Angeles, and is looking for a Japanese restaurant. The most common keywords being used would be something like “Best Japanese restaurant in Los Angeles“. Now, there are a lot of Japanese restaurants in Los Angeles. Guess what? The first few results in Google would be the place the person go visit. Now think about this if your “potential customer” see how you engaged you are in your blog, people are 90% more likely to go visit your restaurant. You can also give “live discounts” via blogging on your blog. Something like “Friday only discount, buy one entree get another free – lunch only offer”.  And don’t forget to share this on your social media account and let it go viral.  You may think that you do not have a lot to write about Japanese restaurant, there are tons that you can write about; From your menu, to pictures of your chef cooking mouth watering dishes, and even traditional Japanese cooking. Many people appreciate this type of story.

Bottom line, if you are a business owner,  you can maximize your profit without much out of pocket costs by leveraging content marketing a.k.a by blogging.  Blogging is powerful and can bring you fresh leads and customers.

Keep in mind that every traffic source is different. You determine good quality traffic through constant testing.  If you are not testing and tweaking your campaigns, you are leaving a lot of money on the table. Determine if your landing pages performing well, split testing your landing pages to maximize your results. With that being said, there is a learning curve to PPC. I suggest start with small budget and test your results.

SEO on the other hand is like long term investment. You are essentially going to be bringing a lot of natural leads or clicks to your website by ranking high in the search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Bing. You will need to learn how to do SEO the right way, follow the SEO best practices and be vigilant when Google algorithms changes takes place. You can also outsource the SEO factor to people who provide SEO services. Bear in mind that it can take months, and in some cases up to a year or more to reach up to the first page of Google for natural results. But the result is well worth the investment.

So which method is better? It comes down to your time and budget. If you want traffic fast and have money to invest into PPC, PPC is a good option for you. If you don’t have a lot of money to invest into paid traffic, but you have time, then you probably want to put all your effort into doing SEO the right way.

 2) Do I have the time and patience for long term results?

If you know anything about long term savings and long term investment, SEO is similar to that. Running an SEO campaign and building backlinks can be daunting for some people. It requires ultimate patience because you won’t see results right way. It can take months before your content start showing up in search engines. One thing you want to consider is how competitive your keywords are.  You can check on how competitive is the SERPs (Search Engine Results Pages) for the keywords you intend to use by entering your keywords to Google keywords tool, or keyword tools like Long Tail Pro. These tools will tell you how competitive your keywords are. It also provide you monthly local and global search for those particular keywords.   I can tell you that content marketing is evergreen. So if you have the time, I highly suggest you seriously look into doing more SEO for your websites. Remember this can be outsourced too.

  • Ongoing effort. Link building is important. What you need is relevant pages linking back to your website. This will help you very much in your SEO campaigns.  As oppose to PPC.
  • The biggest benefit from SEO is you will get highly targeted and high quality leads coming to your website for long time to come. Follow best practices and avoid blackhat methods.
  • Slow Results.

I would start with the questions above and see what makes the most sense for your business. Personally, I prefer to do both as they can be powerful when combined together. So, if you have the money to invest, I would do both to get immediate result, and invest on your long term results.
